I just found out about this show. It's absolutely hilarious. Basically they play some of the worst video games out there and make fun of them.

Warning though, quite a bit of language, so NSFW and all :P

Episode 1: American Gladiators, Karate Kid, McFarlane's Evil Prophecy: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/3396
Episode 3: Bible Adventures, Queen of Queens (japanese female wrestling): http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/4149
Superman 64: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/4356
Episode 4: Revolution X (Aerosmith game), Ring King: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/4467
The Guy Game: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/6689
Episode 5: Red Steel & Necro-Nesia (some japanese game): http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/8021
Episode 6: Spice World & Total Recall: http://www.gamevideos.com/video/id/9147

I have no idea where Episode 2 is, if anyone finds it let me know :P The Superman 64 and Guy Game ones don't seem to be numbered..

Sounds like the Angry Video Game Nerd on YouTube

EDIT:

These guys suck. Watching the one with American Gladiators now, and that game isn't too hard. I have no problem completing any of the events and we actually played that one a bit recently here.

Well, take that concept but replace the Angry Video Game Nerd with three guys on a couch drinking beers and making the characters do homosexual poses :P

Edit: Also it's actually funny :P

Karate Kid doesn't in fact suck, however it has one of the easiest first levels ever and they can't beat that either.

Are these guys actually gamers?

Yeah angry nintendo nerd is pretty homo. Not very funny and way too much profanity to where he's using it to try to be funny. A couple eps are ok though, the Nightmare on Elm Street one comes to mind.

We need good classic gaming e-shows, not these.

Watch Episodes 3 & 4 - those are the best ones. 6 is pretty funny too.

warlord are you talking about tho's "worlds worst video games" video's on youtube or what ever there called... if yes i hate them there retarded and who ever made them needs to get shot :P

they insulted rygar on the NES and acted retarded in it like a 2 year old... its incredibly easy compared to how hard they make the game seem.

the E.T. amiga video's another one where the guys act like 2 year olds and act moronic the whole time... AND there is a proper video explaining how to play the game... the latter video puts the first video to shame.

I saw episode 1 of Broken Pixels when it started on 1up.com's "Not the 1up show". I remember it being pretty good, and cmon, its got Seanbaby.

Angry Video Game Nerd is hilarious. I just finished watching a few episodes I had missed like the Friday the 13th one. His latest about the Atari 5200 is up on Gametrailers.com (I think they bought Screwattack.com)

Screwattack.com also has a video game spoof show called "Awesome Video Games". I thought it seemed stupid at first but it grew on me. This episode has the two brothers playing Duck Hunt for the first time. Probably the best episode next to the one before it where they play Super Mario Bros. for the first time without knowing how to jump.

If you're looking for a "serious" classic gaming show War Lord, try 1up.com's Retronauts podcast, and the Bonus Stage 5 minute videos.

I tried to watch Angry Video Game Nerd.. I think "Nerd" is being kind. I couldn't stand him. He just bitched and moaned about everything. "ZOMG I have to sit through 2 seconds of text in Castlevania 2 when the time of day changes! It's the worst thing ever!!!" I tried to watch the Friday the 13th one too and couldn't get through it. I can only listen to whining so much before I get sick of it. And also, talk about sucking at video games. It's one thing to whine, but when you whine about something because you suck at it, that's beyond annoying.

Also, Bonus Stage is friggin' great. They just released a new one today about Gi-Joe games - I need to watch that when I get home :D

I remember playing American Gladiators and Karate Kid on the NES. I thought they were pretty fun, although a little tough. The Jaws game was fun too.

The Friday the 13th game just freaked me out, and I could never figure out what to do. A much better game is the Nightmare on Elm Street game - it's got a lot of great platforming, and provides a good challenge. I've always like Freddy better than Jason anyways.

Ah memories...

Wait, is the Angry Video Game Nerd on youtube the guy who played Adventures in the Magic Kingdom and didn't know how to beat the Pirates of the Caribean level? I laughed at that so hard, because I beat that at the age of 10. He just bitches and complains that he lacks understanding of how it is to beat a game without doing exactly what he wants.

Probably. In the CV2 one he was bitching that Dracula was too easy. I think he actually exclaimed "HOW COULD THE TESTERS NOT CATCH HOW EASY HE IS?!?" which just proved to me he doesn't have a f'in clue how game development works. Especially early NES development which was far from perfect. I mean, if he is so easy and that bothers you, don't exploit-fight him. It's not rocket science here. And he bitches about the 2 second "It's a terrible night to have a curse" message that pauses the screen - would you rather have the monsters keep coming at you while you are reading that? Besides, they had to refresh the screen for day/night, I'd be surprised if they could have even handled that any differently (i.e. without some sort of delay).

The thing that just bugs me about that guy is that he's a whiny retard about everything. If you're talking about a game that just came out, ok bitch about it. I don't care so much. But these games are like 20 years old. Just because they are not the most playtested and well-developed things in the world doesn't mean we want to hear about every single little tiny annoyance you find with them.

Making fun of bad games = funny
Crying and whining about bad games = annoying

I think I enjoy Angry Video Game Nerd because its a guy playing old video games, and getting frustrated at them. He doesn't seem to be bad at the games from the footage he takes of him getting through the game, and it seems like its coming off of his own console. The videos are actually well synched to what he's talking about, and most of what he's criticising is true, with exageration.

The day to night message in Simon's Quest takes about 6-7 seconds and I think it does get annoying after a while since you cannot skip it.
