have you seen zsnes? have you seen and used the zget tool? how hard would it be to have a server side version of zget (except optimised for ZC of course :))? have the compiling get done by the server thus allowing for...
- no weekly release builds
- we can have versions optimized for our specific CPU
- no need for release grade optimizations due to server strain
- never need to release the source code
- allow people to view a changelog and/or stay up to date with bleeding edge code
- remove the friggin secrets
- better overall beta testing environment
and is just better IMO.... but this is just a thought... actually making something like this would be quite the job indeed.
