My awesome weekend

I decided to travel down to Melbourne for the weekend once again, the drawcard being the Aussie Millions Crown Poker Championship. Figured there would be a lot of poker going on that weekend, and even if i did lose a bit of money to a professional, at least i'd learn something, or have a story to share.

I never got a table with any extremely good players, mostly because it was nearly impossible to get onto some of the higher limit tables. I did pocket a few hundred dollars for the weekend, and spent the rest of the time watching the celebrities of poker play some serious high-stakes poker. Nothing like watching people bet $100,000+ on a single hand of poker 10 feet away from you, that's for sure.

But without a doubt, the best part of the weekend was when me and some friends were outside the casino, and one of my friends spotted Lee Nelson, 2006 Aussie Millions champion, and one hell of a poker player. We called him over, shook his hand, talked poker for a few minutes, before he had to hurry away. Sad news now is that after 3 visits to Crown in just over a month, my next won't be for over a month, probably early March.

Hey sweetheart.. glad you had such a good time. Maybe the next month or so will go by fast so more Crown time will hurry up and get here for ya :)
