This seems a bit overdue, and a puzzle in my quest requires that this is possible. I'm sure many would agree with me that it may be necessary.

What about Tiered secrets? You might want to make an item spawn after the third tier of secrets being triggered, but it'd just trigger on the first. :shrug:

yeah, I believe I did this trick in Wolfstyle DX once or twice where you get an item on the second or third tier of secrets.

I know! Add the number of tiers you want to use. With all of the secret based stuff you can set it to up to a maximum of 16 or something.
