Constan Fire Stream Combos

Like in some of the 2D games, a comob type that continuously spits fireballs in a certain direction.
Only I'm trying to find a way to make the Cane of Byrna a necessary item.

This can be faked quite easily with animated and/or combo cycling damage combos.
