Hi all.
I'm officially stuck in level 9. i've explored every room on this level
except the top 4. i can't seem to find the passage there.

i've bombed every wall. i've tried to walk thru every wall. i've pushed every
block, even the shooting statues. i've even bombed the blocks. i feel
like the Pied Piper, blowing the recorder in every room and pushing blocks and
walls looking for rats.

could someone give a hint where the passage is? such as which row? or
something special that needs to be done.

i would really appreciate it. i think i've run out of tricks...

It's been so long since I played the Official 3rd Quest, so I can't tell you exactly where the passage is. Would a map help? You can find one at AlphaDawg's homepage - his site is no longer up, but it is in the internet archive: (not everything works, but the maps do)

Oh, be sure to kill all the enemies in a room before trying to push blocks to make passageways appear. Good luck!

One more thing Ford Perfect, don't worry about blowing the Whistle, bombing blocks, or pushing statues. I know none of those will help here.

Have you found the Silver Arrow yet, because as you know, you need it to beat Ganon.

well, i was at my wit's end and couldn't think of anything else. i thought it
would be pretty devious to do something like that, but, hey, he might have
been, eh?

Well, the rules for the Official 3rd Quest contest were pretty strict - basically you couldn't do anything that wasn't in the original game. (such as whistle secrets in dungeons amongst other things)

It makes the quest easier knowing that you won't see crazy stuff like in modern quests. But, AlphaDawg makes up for it with a lot of other tricks and excellent (evil) enemies combinations.

i wasn't here for the contest, so i didn't read the rules. wish i had known that
earlier.

i've run across a couple of his tricks. but still not the one i want. Yes, very
good combinations of bad guys.

i just want to thank everyone who helped, particularly vegeta1215 who pointed
me to the archive.org website.

i finally found what i was looking for and have beat that pig-faced Ganon.

Now that level was a real trip.
 sooooo many twists and unexpected turns...

I can finally go to bed...

 and only died 89 times!!!

Yes it is a difficult quest and is not for ZC beginners.
