Etc > View Map... question

Hello to all! I am considering adding a 'hand drawn' map to my quest. To this end, I want to know if the overworld/dungeon image captured by the Etc > View Map... command is written somewhere on the hard drive. I would assume it is since there are file sizes in the dialog (5.5MB if I recall).

I am using 2.11b14.

Not sure! Usually, I only use it to check for any inconsistencies between screens. You know, sometimes when I'm building screens, I'll end up putting the wrong tiles in certain places, making it look bad when going between screens. But... I really am not sure about saving the map. I know you can save a picture while viewing the map in the player, but I have no clue about the map seen in the editor. I'm sorry. :(
