i took these with a cellphone in the woods by my house. wonder if any are edible? too bad i couldnt find any of those ones called 'liberty caps'

I recognize those mushrooms. Yes, they are edible. Those ones on the tree (2nd pic), are highly sought after by foragers. The ones in the first picture taste like clams. You should eat them.

Liberty caps are usually a bad idea. They're incredibly similar to any number of rediculously poisonous mushrooms. Just in case, you, you know, actually want to know.

I did a project on these for my Sex Ed/Career Choice class (a funny mix, I must admit)

Essentially, while "tripping from a shroom" is not addictive, it will mess you up in the long run. But I must admit, it sounds fun while it lasts.
