I thought Halo 3 came out sooner?

Next year? Was I missing something because I thought it was due out for the holidays for some reason.

I'm still thinking about getting a 360 and was going to pick that up too but 11/1/07 is just a little far off for me.

I read an article, it was dated back in the summer but it said they were going to release the same day as the PS3. Maybe I'll just hold off the on the 360 and pick up a Wii instead.

That was just something that started during the E3 2005 press-conference, that came from some individual other than Bungi. Somehow even when Bungie said it will come out when its done, that rumor never really fizzled out.

But speaking of Halo 3...

This $100 package that comes with a spartan helmet better be a life-size version of a spartan helmet, not some 3" replica. Oh wait...yep. A simple google search solved that problem. Yup, its small. Definitely not worth the money in my opinon.

Gates wanted Halo 3 to debut opposite the PS3, but there was no way it would be ready in time. Instead, Gears of War is shipping today, and I think that's the one they're counting on to be a PS3 killer.

Gears of War is rivaling Halo 2's anticipation according to preorders and such. I really don't think M$ needed Halo 3 this holiday season at all with GoW coming out. Halo 3 is best saved till next year when it's good and polished opposed to rushed out the door.
