Opening the game and playing it

I found the game ina file put I cnaopen it but not play it. Help!

You have to load it as a custom quest through ZC. You can not open the quest file directly. Start ZC and make a new game file. After putting in the name, do NOT press Start (or whatever you have set as the Start button). This will automatically load the first quest. Instead press the A button twice (what you have set as A) and it will then let you browse and load a .qst file to play a custom quest.

How do you get it as a custom quest(Sorry im so new to this whole thing)

Make sure the header of your game is set to zero. Also make sure your quest is saved in the same folder as the program.

Ok, my quest header is at 0 and its in the file as the program. I just need to figure out hwo to open up the game and play it.

Ok. What version do you use? Open Zelda-W (not the editor, the other one) and register your name. Press your "A" button and then press it again. Load the quest and play it.

Ok is taht the thing where the icon is lieka sheild cause I clicked taht and it just gives me some crap

Yay i got it. Now I need to figure how to get my guy to move......

Use the arrow keys. Press escape and go to controls. Set up the buttons that there.

I know I push those buttons but my guy just turns in taht direction, and on what program doe i push escape in?

Make sure the floor under him is walkable.

Holy cow... this dude got lots of problems :D
if you are trying to play/test your own quest, and Link won't move, you set the controls and all but still not working. Go to ZQuest and open your quest, right-click the tile Link should be walking on and click edit combo. There is a red square there. You can't walk to the part of the tile with the red square.

Also if you didn't just set the controls, open Zelda-W and click to the ZC screen. Select settings > Key Directions, and set the controls. Also...
