Well, from a certain viewpoint, I suppose any widely-public friendly association like that could be a good thing; not very important or life-changing, but one more voice that's not going "This is against my fundamental views blah blah blah so that's why they can't do it," and is furthermore doing so publically.

Or it could be bad for her career. :( Then again, it's a hell of a lot safer for one who's female than male at this point in time; the majority of casual guys think lesbians are cool, but the same people will say gay men deserve a thorough beating "just 'cause."
