Wii's VGA cable, which news has not been heard of since E3 05, i believe, still exists, and will be available AT LAUNCH!

This news probably doesn't excite anyone nearly as much as myself, but i've got a very nice monitor i'll be using for the Wii, and it's composite connection is pretty ugly.

Wii Component Cable
[RVL-A-KC(JPN)]
Nintendo is also making a component cable available for the system, also at 2,500 yen.

YES! Thank you Nintendo for not pussing out like you did w/ GC! (only available online)

P.S. that price is like $20. That's pretty affordable (I think Sony charges like $30 for theirs on PS2)

Is that the memory cards? Is that it? Just a simple SD card?
That 512MB looks to cost $30, and if I can use any SD card, I cna find 1GB for $20.

Oh a VGA cable is actually pretty cool; all of my TVs are bigger than my monitors but it will definitely be good for the look prettys.

I think the VGA cable you're talking about is actually the Japanese D-Terminal cable, which is just the 3 video Component cables put into one input. I've heard people mention modding Component or D-Terminal cables for VGA though.

Right. I think so too.

What I'm excited about though, is that they are selling the component cable at the stores this time! :D

Indeed it could be that japanese component video connector, in which case no VGA. VGA is actual analog RGB connection, where as this "D-Terminal" is Component Video.
