View Full Version : No music. Am I doing something wrong?

The game's music does not play, even when I'm using the latest beta. I know this is a known bug in 2.10, but has it been fixed in the betas yet?

I have the latest beta and I get no music for me either. I get sound just fine though, just no music.

What's the Lost Woods trick? If you're wondering whether the Lost Woods music plays when I click the option, it doesn't.

Just tried the Lost Woods 'trick' in Zquest (right?) and it really did nothing. Zquest doesn't even play the music, let alone ZC.

Does MIDI work in other ZC versions/other programs/any MIDI-playing media player?

of course, in fact it works fine with beta 183. The current 'stable' beta 2.11 works fine with midi, although it has that bug which draws out certain notes indefinitely, but these last two betas. Not a single midi sound.

OK, do you have RealPlayer and/or a running program that uses MIDI? If so, try exiting it/them.

um...I never have anything that runs in the background like that. Ever. And didn't I say midi works fine in all the earlier betas?

There could be a problem with alleg42.dll - what version is it, and where did you get it from?

I'm running b14, and I've got no problems whatsoever. (Yes, this isn't much help0. Oh, and is that what the Lost Woods thing is for? I just thought it was cool music to listen to while your building.
