I think Sony's arguement might have been that PS3 doesn't have shit for launch games, so you end up spending more on Wii + tons of awesome games, than you do on PS3 + nothing :)

What a great point! Yes you can spend less money on the PS3 than you do the Wii. Just let the PS3 sit on a shelf while everyone else actually uses and enjoys what Nintendo has to offer. Insane.

Oh while we are talking about the PS3's price, while actually there is a 500$ model available, it is widely known that the overwhelming majority of units produced are the 600$ model. So even if you want to go the cheaper route you may not be able to.

Wii does end up costing you as much as a PS3 if you buy the Wii with like, 8 games.

I have the money to buy both systems, but I'm just plain not interested in the Playstation 3. Even the next Final Fantasy game (Final Fantasy 13) looks kinda retarded. Final Fantasy 12 will probably be the last PS title I'll pick up.
