View Full Version : How do I play the made games?

Where do I go to play the games. I went to the Quest Database then clicked on a game but all it says is the credits and screenshots and description. What do I click to play?

Never mind. I figured out what to click. The one that says download game in the bar next to it. But when it goes into my files and I click it, it is an unknown program. How do I get it to work, so I can play it?

you need the ZC engine , there are some different versions , look what version the quest need that you downloaded , the engines you can download here (http://www.armageddongames.net/zeldaclassic/downloads.php#zc)

No you really need to use the engine where the quest is made in , thats the only way you can be sure you won't walk into bugs caused by the engine ( like wrong warps and wrong enemies on a moment you don't have the items to kill them yet ) to be save play them in the right engine ;)

Ok. I have just downloaded 2.10. Then I clicked and downloaded the game, Link to Hyrule Mountains. It opens in my file and when I double click it, it says it is an unknown file. What do I need to do?! I really want to play these games, they look awesome...

I think the key point to help you get this working is you have to run Zelda Classic and create a new file there. You can't double-click the quest. ZC doesn't work that way.
Once there, create a new character. Hit 'A' on that guy (whatever button you have mapped to 'A', check the input config area to see), and select custom quest. There you'll get a dialog to select the quest you want to associate with that character.
