LONDON, Sept 26 (Reuters) — Jack Neal briefly became the proud owner of a pink convertible car after he managed to buy it for 9,000 pounds ($17,000) on the Internet despite being only three years old.

Jack's mother told the BBC she had left her password for the eBay auction site in her computer and her son used the "buy it now" option to complete the purchase.

"Jack's a whizz on the PC and just pressed all the right buttons," Rachel Neal said.

The seller of the second-hand car, a dealer from Worcestershire, central England, was amused by the bid and agreed not to force the sale through.

"Luckily he saw the funny side and said he would re-advertise," Neal said.

It's always cute till the 3 year old kills someone or breaks something expensive.

It's a good thing the dude wasn't a slimeball. Any attempt to legally force the transaction would fail in court but the defense would likely exceed the cost of the car and I'm sure there's pleny of snakes out there who'd take advantage of that.

Horrible world aside, it's a story with smiles for everyone.

Lies
They bid on a car, couldn't afford it afterall or whatever the reason.
Then blame it on the kid and call the newspaper.

I would have forced.
Don't bid if you can't pay. I would have negative repped regardless.

they're just lucky the dealer didn't force it. And this is why I'm against my 12 year old brother looking for antique coins on Ebay... (he's a coin collector )

Yeah RIGHT. No male impulsively buys a pink convertible, I don't care how young he is. That biatch backed out on her purchase. :)

Dude, when I was three, I'd be all about a pink convertable, let me tell you. I loved the color pink until I found out that I'm not supposed to. It's taken me like fifteen years to like it again, and to be proud of that.

How would he have known to search for the car. The story is funny, but it seems to me that she backed out of it and put the blame on the kid. *shrugs*

There is no way I'm allow my future kid to get on the internet until at least 5 or 6. Even then I would supervise.
