Using saves from 1.90 in 2.10

I played ZC 1.90 on an old computer and I have some saves from then. Unfortunately that computer is gone and 1.90 doesn't run on WinXP which I use on this computer. It looks like 1.90 saves are incompatible with 2.10, is there any hope or will I have to play from the beginning?
