Oh man, I've been here long enough to have contributed 1337 amazing thoughts and contributions to this wonderful board.
I've been banned a few times, once for a looong time. I've managed to get almost everyone here pissed off at me at one time or another. (except maybe bh4, or ST... or josh :) )
But yeah.

Honestly I have nothing too exciting to say. I wish GB was still around, because this post would be so at home there. :(

Eh. IMHO, forum life is a form of miniature "practice" for real life. You get to discover life's ups and downs, how to behave, how to contribute, and how to keep your mouth shut on a setting that has far less of an impact on your life than doing those same things in real life.

When I hit my 1337, I really didn't care. There's nothing significant about it other than "Hey, look at that." It's not really a milestone for anything. ... Then again, when you look at it in one way, it's just as significant as your every thousandth.

IMHO, there are five major milestones:
1,000 posts. - You're just coming into your own as a forum frequenter.
2,500 posts. - You're easily a regular at this point. If you had messed up in the past, you wouldn't even be here.
5,000 posts. - Obviously, you're in it for the long haul.
7,500 posts. - What are you, an animal? How long have you been here?
10,000 posts. - ... ... Yeah.

That's putting it lightly. When a person posts, it can mean anything from "I'm bored and wasting my time online." to "I really like you guys, and enjoy spending time with you." Of course, it could also be an involvement in a project, like ZC.

It all comes together to paint an interesting picture. Imply whatever you will and make whatever judgements you want, I guess. We all know it's not 100% of the picture.
