What do FFC arguments do? (D0-D7, A1, and A2) Can they be used without using scripts or is that mainly what they are used for, scripting?

They are purely for scripting. For ASM scripts, the correspondingly named registers are set to these initial values before the script is run. For ZScript, I've added an explanation here (http://www.armageddongames.net/showpost.php?p=1090128&postcount=9).
