Rafts- Isle of Winds

I am playing Isle of the Wind and I can only go 1 direction on the raft. What do I need to do to have the raft change direction.

When you go between a group of rocks (it's a Raft Branch flag), hold in the direction you want to go with the arrow keys. The raft will move that way.
