It smells like Play-Doh... it is very unique and I seem to remember hearing that the smell itself is trademarked, though I cannot cite this with even where I heard it due to bad memory.

I remember both play-doh and Gack (or however you spell it) both had very individual smells, which for some reason, tended to differ depending on who smelled it. *shrug*
Play-doh smells like crap, and gack always smells like some god awful rotten fish. Kinda like dirty crotch, now that I think of it. Too bad you can't buy that stuff anymore. It was sweet.

Though you are spot-on about the Gak... I had some of that stuff and really couldn't stand playing with it because it made my hands stink for hours (whereas the Play-doh smell fades away). Ugh.
