Link's Retirement 3 (A Stitch in Time)

If there is anyone who can tell me how to open the door to the east that is in the room where you can walk thru the north wall in Link's Retirement 3 I would appreciate it. There must be a key in it to open the door north of the tri force room. Any help would help. Or maybe there is another way into this room. Is there?

Thanks Rockfan but I figured it out, however I am having a tough time finding Level 3. I'm in the mountains after finding the Petra Bug and can see what I think is Level 3 on top of a Mountain but can't figure out how to get to it. I think I need the Flute. Am I right? and can I have a hint as to where the flute is if it's what I need at this time? Or is it something else I need? Great quest it really has me thinking. I've played since the original Nintendo Zelda came out and this quest has me thinking more than I've had to in quiet a while. I've played over 50 custom quests.

Where might I buy a shield? Level 3 is killing me with all those fireballs without a shield.

The shield is found in the temple of time.

What specific items do I need to find the shield in the temple of time? I have been there and it's no picnic getting around. One of the first rooms has a chest behind some blocks. How do I get these blocks to lower to get to this chest? Thanks for the help RockFan13.

When you get the item in Level 3, you will be able to lower those blocks. The shield is in the first room after you talk to the old man, not the one that warps you, but the other. Try hitting statues.

RockFan13 I am stuck in Level 4 in the crystal room. I don't want to know where to set up the crystal, I only want to know how to clear the two crystal that block the gold crystal that I figure I need to hit with a wand beam to open the door. If I'm wrong in my thinking you can tell me also. Thanks

All you need to do is line up the crystals so they are in line to reflect around correctly. There is also a trick to one of them (the blue one), needs to be in one of the corners.

Ok I have spent way too much time in this room. Can you tell me which corner for the blue crystal? I've been in this room so long I am geting bored. Is there a clue somewhere that give a hint as to how to get out of this room? If not I think there needs to be. Besides an incredible amount of crystal combination in this room and the 1 in 120,210 possibility's of where to put all of them, this quest ROCKS. I really need help so I don't throw this computer out the window. How frustrating can 1 room get?

In devastated Paradise there is a Level in the middle of the lava? How do you access the stairs to get to it. I am looking for Level 5 if this is a future level never mind I'll figure it out later if it's level 5... help please.

Look around where level 2 was in the past. Should lead you to where you want to go.

Yes. You went the wrong way. I put that crystal there and meant to have a hammer peg. I never fixed it. You can escape that area by using the whistle.

I was having trouble finding Level5 until I somehow found the swamp. RockFan13 you are a phenominal quest maker. What an imagination. Here's something for you RockFan13. In level 5 after you go thru the first warp and go 1 room north and 2 rooms west you come to a room with some stairs, however you have to hit a schrub in the northwest corner to make it appear. Now I know how to throw the boomerang at an angle but I can't throw it at an angle to the northwest. I can however angle it to the southeast. I get to the upper portion of this room and hit the schrub with the boomerang but after I leave the room to reenter the room on the south side the stairs are gone again. Is this a boomerang bug or am I missing something that will get me down these stairs? I'm afraid there is a key down there and I need a key to continue. Can you help me out?

What version of ZC are you using? There is a known bug with the boomerang not being thrown that way in 2.11.

I would hate to have you start over because you're using the wrong version of ZC.

There is a room in the subfloor of level 6 that has a torch that's not lit. It's directly above the room with the large keyed chest at the very bottom of the subfloor. You enter the room with the unlit torch from the north by walking thru the wall. How do you lite this torch or is there really no need?

Yes there is a need. You missed an item that will light that torch. Look for another walk thru in an unexpected place.

just so you know... thats normally a limitation of your keyboard... just chang your controls and try again. (some keys on keyboards while pressed prevent pressing 3 keys at once)

On the 2nd floor past the maze in the room that you get a normal key by lighting a torch. Use more than one item in a specific spot.

I have everything and I'm hitting the caldren with everything I have and I can't get the stairs beside the caldren to appear. The only thing I can think of is that there is a Gold Arrow and all I have is the Silver. Do I need the Gold Arrow for the second item needed in this room to receive the Boss Key for Level 9, Floor 2?

Edit: Never mind. Apparently the blue colored arrow is the Gold arrow. So now I'm clueless as to how to get the stairs opened. I'll try everything until I hear from you.

I fell down a hole in level 3 and ended up in the basement. This will suprise you but I can't for the life of me find the basement Boss Key. I did find the Gold Tunic, so that made the fall worth while even thought I died a lot with that Fire Dragon. He was a killer. I checked every room with the Len of Truth and still can't find the Basement Boss Key. Your probably getting tired of me asking about Boss Keys but it get frustrating when you look and look and look and can't find it. Thanks

The Boss key is in a room with a pit that separtes the sides. When you come across a superbomb you can't get(trust me, you can't get it), you're close. Push the blocks.

OK so I have defeated Ganon. Gotten to the next room with the flying dragon and I have defeated him 4 maybe 5 times. There is about 1/2 inch on his death scale that isn't red. I can't figure out what to do with the statue to kill this dragon. If this makes any since could you help me out a little bit?

Something in your inventory will affect it. Remember, it is possible to use the wand, not the magic from the wand, but the wand itself as a weapon.
Have you tried that?

You need the mirror shield to trigger that crystal. Look for another way around. You may be missing a walk thru wall somewhere.
