I just got to level 3 and I got to a dead end. When I looked at the screenshot: http://zeldaclassic.armageddongames.net/screenshots/endof02ss01.gif from zeldaclassic.com I just found out they have a hookshot and I don't. Can someone tell me where the hookshot is because I am at a big dead end. I explored everywhere in the overworld and I need help, Thanks in advance!

Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I was at band camp. And I'm really tired.

Yeah, a lot of people have gotten stuck on this. Take a gander at this:

You need to get to that staircase. Try bombing the wall from the room directly above this one.

Yep, I'm still working on Link to the Heavens. I'm still working on Level 8. Hopefully I'll get done with Level 8 soon! I've been working on it forever!

Stuck in level 8, can get through a room with a bunch of arrows pointing up (came in from top), and another room with a staircase surrounded by blocks that I cannot get out of. Nowhere to go.... Did get the wand....

The shape of the arrows is meaningful. Notice that they are in the form of a key. The up arrows means the key is in the room above. Try pushing a block to get that key.

Don't worry about the staircase surrounded by blocks. That's just to show you that there is an entire basement 3 to play through!

After you get that key, from the very start of the dungeon, go up, right, down the stairs, up, and hit the blockade with the wand. Continue into the depths of the Cataclysm Crater. :)
