I need help on making people talk when you walk up to them. I read the other thread but there are still problems. I will go into detail when I get a response.:confused:

I do not use layer 2 when I do it, so that might be the problem, but I'm not sure as I am not well-versed on layering. There might be another way to make it work though.

Your problem is that you're skipping a step, a step that no one mentioned. The reason that people use the "Fire" guy is that a lot of people go into their Tiles menu, find the tile that the "Fire" guy uses, and delete it. When the tile is deleted, the Fire guy doesn't appear. (Technically the guy still appears, but since the guy's appearance is nothing but a bunch of transparent pixels, nothing shows up.) Point is, if you don't want a Guy to appear, delete the tile for that Guy.

Thanks DeFray. Actually, I did not know that about deleting tiles for Guys. Then again, I never did it.

If you don't go into detail, I'm not really sure what the problem is. o.o' koopa made an excellent tutorial on how to make people speak Here (http://zcu.sephiroth.ws/forums/index.php?showtopic=21). Enjoy. :)

Remember, strings won't appear on Dmaps with a Level number of 0, even if there is a Guy
