I remember playing this and doing the same shit.
Not running clear back, but just using Bo Jackson or Walter Payton and scoring a touchdown via a running play every time.

My cousins had that game, but I never played it. The only sports game that I owned for NES was Blades of Steel. That game was awesome, because you could totally start a fight with the other team. I would play the game with my friends and just fight with them instead of actually trying to play hockey.

I love playing Tecmo Super Bowl with Barry Sanders. Run straight up the middle every play. Either that or Young or Favre and throw hundred yard passes every play.
