The funny thing is, I don't think Nintendo was trying to be insulting. Think about it:

-The game is designed to assist aging brains, Bush is 60
-Nintendo is trying to expand their target audience to "everyone", and who better to try to appeal to than the President of the United States?
-The DS Lite (and Brain Age, for that matter) were new, and Nintendo saw this as a HUGE opportunity for publicity.
-The included letter, to quote the link, "basically reads like a press release for the brain training game". I've seen a copy of the letter elsewhere, and it really does sound like that. I have to say, this definitely sounds more like a publicity stunt than a jab at the President. Not that it makes it any less humorous.
