STORY:
Venturing from a far off land, Link returns to Hyrule, only to see it destroyed. His first thought, where is Zelda, and is she alright. Link hears a familliar voice from the very round he stood on, saying to come down. Link does so, and finds Zelda. Link, relieved, asks about the misfortune that befell Hyrule. Zelda explains that Ganon destroyed it in order to find her, but never did. Zelda continues on about how Hyrule can be revived by one single jewel, hidden in a tomb out to the east of Hyrule, in the land of Romia. This tomb was built for the emporer: Kamala. He was an elementalist, and made a jewel with amazing power, which could control every element. With this kind of power, Hyrule could be restored in an instant.
Link goes to this tomb, and when he enters, he finds a strange jewel. He picks it up, hoping it was Kamala's Jewel, however, it wasn't. It transported Link to a strange room, of which he encounters Anari, the gaurdian of Fire, Yuken, the Gaurdian of Water, and Eskavana, the gaurdian of Earth. The explain to Link that without the power of the elements, Link will not be able to enter Kamala's chamber, the resting place of the jewel. They continue on about the Yukinari jewels hidden in the 4 elemental shrines in Kamala's tomb, and how they are the only way of opening the chamber. They each had an element.
Little does Link know, this will become much more than just a tomb raid...

Dayamn, those screenshots are amazing! I see you're making good use of the Fire Temple tiles I reworked. The plot sounds very intriguing. Tell me: Why are there only three guardians to the shrine though? o.o?

More questions?

1) Where does Link Begin?

2) Where is the tomb located?

3) What happens after Link faces the three shrines?

Wow... those screens look promising. Please finish this quest.

Thanks! As for the questions...

There are 4 gaurdians, the garudian of the wind, Kamari. I didn't mention him, mainly because you don't encounter him straight away. He is there though.

Link begins in the destroyed land of Hyrule, when he finds Zelda, hiding. Zelda explains to Link what happened, and how Ganon came t destroy Hyrule. Also, she tells Link that in a book, she read about Kamala's Jewel, with the power of the emporer of Romia. (Which is enough to revive the land.)

The tomb is located out toward the east of Hyrule, in another land known as Romia.

When Link gets into the 4 shrines, and obtains the 4 Yukinari Jewels, Kamala's Chamber will open. This is where the jewel is hidden.

There were some changes to the last two screen shots, mainly because I thought they could be "spiced up". I'll retake them, and I'll post them later. Sorry that the story details were left out. (I didn't have too long to type it, so I couldn't type everything the way I wanted it...)

EDIT:

More screen shots!

The screen shots look great! I just downloaded it and I will try it out this evening.

EDIT: OK, I think I found a major problem. Either that or I am missing a key somewhere else. I can't get the key from the stalfos a two screens to the right of the entrance until I get the bow. What happened though is I used all the keys to open the way to the upper right area of the level, forgetting about the key door by the entrance. Now I have no bow, the only key I can get now I need the bow for, and the other path is blocked because there are switches I need to hit with an arrow. Looks like I will have to restart. This will be a very easy mistake for people to make. Maybe you can somehow make the player need to use the bow before opening all three key doors in the upper right area.

Also take a look at this:
http://www.ermock.com/kamala1.jpg
The torch just turned black after I lit it. Also look at the bottom right corner. You may want to change the border tile there. It's not consistant with the rest of the area.

Sorry about that key bug! I'll fix that asap. Also, I see the inconsistent border bug. (Took me a bit to see, but I found it.)
I'm going to fix those later today.

Hi Blaman, you have a very impressive demo. It looks like you spent a lot of time & effort on it. Keep up the good work & hope you can release the quest soon :)

 ... ... Yes, but if you did, how would Blaman get it? :p Probably also not too good of a thing to shout out to the public, and something to PM Blaman with instead. ;)

Blaman, I loved this demo. The variety of the areas was spectacular. Just for kicks, I recommend playing Shoelace's Hero Of Dreams, and playing through Level 5. It's remarkably similar to this quest. :) Maybe you'll get a few ideas from it or something, you never know. :)

Thanks! Glad to see you all enjoyed it!

I hope to have a new demo ready soon. This one will include level 3,(which is ALMOST done!) and a few more bonus dungeons and secrets. (Secrets in places you've probably already have been!)

Did anybody find any parts too difficult?

I am playing and also am a key short to continue , looked if you had an updated version in the meanwhile but your link to the download doesn't work:shrug:

I am playing and also am a key short to continue , looked if you had an updated version in the meanwhile but your link to the download doesn't work:shrug:

The first three obtainable keys in level one without needing the bow can be found in:
-The room north of the wooden arrow
-The room south of the bomable wall (on the chains)
-The room with the blue warp
If you found those, and didn't use them on the locked doors to the right of the entrance, than you have caught "the key bug." (Dun dun Duuuunnn) The only cure? Unfortuantely, you have to restart the quest. The new version will have that fixed, so you NEED the bow to get to those three lcoked doors in the north-east part. (Thus, not allowing anyone to use the first three keys there.)

As for an updated version, there is none, but will be soon. (Just finished level 3, and am currently testing it. After that, I'm adding a few more secrets and some mini-dungeons. I also added more hidden HCPS.) I tried the link, and it works for me...
(Again, sorry for the key bug.)

If you click the link in one of my previous posts, you'll find the link I'm talking about. The one in my signature is just to lead to the thread. I'll put the link in my first post. Sorry about that!:)

Tomorrow, (I hope), I should have a new demo avaliable. If not, then I either:
A) Ran into some major bugs that will take a while to work out.
B) Can't because I might be gone out tomorrow.

I'm HOPING to post it tomorrw! Sorry if I can't, though...

(Yes, tomorrow WILL come this time, I'm just not putting any garuntee, unlike last time)

Sorry for double posting, but...
Bad news, I won't be posting the demo for a while. I've decided to do some changes that may take a while to do, but I will have level 4 in the next demo. (I'm thinking of also adding level B with it, but it's only a possibility.) Also, I'm going to improve some parts while I am at it, and am doing some more testing in the current areas to assure no bugs are there.
Also, it will still be using 2.11b10, not 11.
Sorry about that...

Sorry for the major topic kick, and triple posting, but at long last, the second demo is now ready.
There was a major error in it, so I took it out for now.

Odd... after I finished Level 1, I went up and shot the statue which turned yellow... but nothing happened. So... I can't seem to proceed.

Very good so far... very good... a lot of key hunting so far, hehe.

I looked it over, and I just fixed it. I accidently used a singular flag on the eyevball.
I took the link out for a major bug.

So which ZC version do we use to play the demo?

elise

Blaman can you check your download it's the wrong file you put up there, we can't play it .
Cepat you can't play this demo , we have to wait till Blaman upload the good file this one isn't a questfile and crashes your ZC engine if you try to play it , deleting the questfile solves the problem.:uhoh:

With regards to Cepat's post, you need to use 2.11b14, but don't play it yet. I'm going to have to check this out and find what's causing it. If anyone happens to know what happened, could someone tell me please. For the time being, I'll take out the demo.
