I'm presuming that Version 2.11 still has some bugs that need to be worked out. Is that correct? Also, when 2.11 is available to the general ZC-playing public, will a download link just appear on the ZC home page?

Can't you see the 2.11 forums? Like, HERE? (http://www.armageddongames.net/forumdisplay.php?f=126)

Oh, and the download page is here. (http://www.armageddongames.net/showthread.php?t=90670)

What I meant by the "home page" was on zeldaclassic.com where it says "The most current public version of ZC is Version 2.10."

I know that beta versions of 2.11 are available for download. I have downloaded it, but I think there are still some bugs that have yet to be fixed.

Most likely it'll just appear. I'm sure whoever is in charge of the site will make an announcement on the home page.

Most likely 2.11 will appear when we've got a definite, and stable, version. Also, it will have a new manual (think zquest.txt, vastly updated) with all the new features in it. And speaking of new features, things like true arrows and big link are there, but don't work yet in a way that would let you use them in quests. (And tile importing is broken too).

Originally, the 2.11 betas were only available to a few betatesters, now everyone can download the betas - the intention at the moment is more that they can submit bug reports so we can fix the bugs, than that you go ahead and make big quests with it.

I'm going to put a lot of work into it over this summer break, but when it will be finished I couldn't tell.

will a changelog be included? like what you get with zsnes svn? as i think this would be interesting to read...

Thanks koopa. A new manual would help, so we can better understand the new features. Take your time and don't rush it. Just make sure you guys have a stable, working version with all the bugs fixed.

Yah!I would rather wait for the real thing with no bugs, than real thing with
a bunch of small ones!

That, I think, would be the best thing to do--especially if you're working on a quest yourself like I am. You could try out the new features, but it would be best to make a backup copy because once you save a quest in 2.11, you cannot go back to previous versions.
