View Full Version : Is the magical clock not in this game?

After having played through the first quest (very fun, great job) I was disturbed that I never once had an enemy drop a magical clock. Does it not exist in Zelda Classic; did someone forget to put it in?

Forgive me if this has been mentioned before: I looked for any references in the forum but I could have easily missed it.

Ah, I see. Thankyou.
So, as far as the original game goes, is version 1.90 the most accurate?

yes.

There is also a bug that makes the clock last forever if you get it.

I think there was a version of ZQuest where you could in the Rules, click a box to activate an option to allow for enemies to drop clocks behind, but if everyone allowed these to be obtained, battles with difficult enemies (especially with hard dungeon foes like Darknuts or Wizzrobes) would be too easy.

he's talking about the original quest not custom quests.

If you're talking about the original quests, I would not know, but those who put ZC together probably could tell you.

There's a quest rule to enable clocks, and one to set them to temporary (they go away after some time) or permanent (until you leave the screen). This can be set by the questmaker for custom quests. It seems clocks aren't turned on for the 1st quest.

Getting a clock while L4 cheats are active or you're using a keyfile can make it permanent, the other clock bug I found (I hope) and should be fixed in the next beta.
