It's a 666 party, in the geographical center of evil: Detroit, Michigan.

And you can get your own 666 t-shirt and beer mug. What a great thing to celebrate.

That is the worst idea I have ever heard in my entire life.

His store is going to burn to the ground.

i can get my own tshirt and mug that say 666. it'll most likely cost me alot less than going to this jerk's store, as well as i dont have travel to michigan to get them.

i agree with c-a-d, maybe lightning will strike his store and it'll burn. that'd be ironic, wouldnt it?

From what I understand, the actual biblical number is supposed to be like 616. Which was three days ago.
I don't really know though.

Or you could go to the Barbie museum (not the doll). We'll stop there before we go to Detroit.

And the number 666 is supposed to be Cesar Nero, from what I've seen on the History Channel.

Everyone knows the 6th June, or 06/06/06, stands for 666, which means the world is going to end next Tuesday. This date for the end of the world comes from the very same people who said the world would end at the new millennium. (So I'm not too worried)

I most certainly do not believe it will be the end of the world. However, I do believe that the number 666 is satanic in nature, as is biblically stated.

There is a lot of talk going on about the significance of that date. Here's just one article I have seen.

It's just funny how people worry about coincidences like that. Every year there is always something about another attact on the anniversary of 9/11 too but nothing ever happens...

This whole thing is just really stupid. It's the year 2006, big deal. Why didnt the world come to end in 1906 or 1806 etc etc., it was 06/06/06 then too. Or heck, why didn't the world end in the year 666?

/me goes to learn how to use a shotgun, so he can ward off any demons that attack.

Only in the Alanis Morrisette sense of the word.

This whole 6/6/06 thing is stupid.

Um... not to turn this into a religous/math-nerd thread but 666 is pretty straight forward it represents Rome. Add up all the roman numerals I + V = 6 + X = 16 + L = 66 + C = 166 + D = 666. The number isn't evil its all tied in to being a symbol of the Beast. The Whore of Babylon wears Red and Purple, are they evil colors? No, again they represented Roman authority or really any goverment/religious orginization telling you what you can and can't think.

His store is going to burn to the ground.

It's Detroit. All buildings burn down there eventually. Really. I used to live there. Torched houses all over the place.

People see significance in things where they want to. They look past facts, common sense, and obvious logic to reach the conclusions they desire. In this case, the world is going to end on tuesday. Heck, when I was in Junior High, I knew a kid who was actually worried about the Day of Lavos (read: Chrono Trigger). Sure, he wasn't all that bright, but 1999 came and went with no trouble.

If the world is going to end soon, which part of me thinks it probably will, it's certainly not going to happen on a day of any numerical significance.

Concerning all those theories about what 666 represents:

It has been "proven" that it stands for George W. Bush, Adolf Hitler, Ariel Sharon, Bill Clinton, and pretty much anyone else that has enemies. It also applies to Nazi Germany and the state of Israel, all by simple and clear mathematical formulae and counting letters in the alphabet.

To show you what I think of this, I will prove that 666 in fact means me.
Recall my name is koopa. The first letter of that, K, is the 11th letter of the alphabet, so we number the letters a=11, b=22, c=33, and so on.
This gives k + o + o + p + a = 638.
I am a big fan of ZC, so add Z + C = 26 + 3 = 29. Add this, then subtract one because ZC is an abbreviation, not a full word.
638+29-1= 666. Ta-da.

And that is why I don't believe any of these theories about what 666 means by counting letters. I can make them up myself.

Kind of like releasing a movie (another remake) on the same day?

Holy crap! It's tomorrow. I have to go to church or else the devil will kill me!
