The 'ebay avenger' who posted an embarrassing web page about a student who sold him a faulty laptop last night offered to take it down in exchange for his money back and an apology.

Thomas Sawyer, 23, was so incensed after forking out £375 that he decided upon the most humiliating form of revenge.
How stupid do you have to be to sell someone a laptop that doesn't turn on, but has all your personal info on the hard drive? I think the guy deserved it. Link below:

He got what he deserved. I would say he should report him to the police anyway just for the stuff he found ON the laptop.

I think he was referring to the "interesting" pictures the guy took with his camera phone.

That's sad. I mean, yea the guy's an idiot, but I don't know. I don't think I'd do that to get back at him.

It is illegal if it's voyeurism.

Peeping Toms are actually quite hard to prosecute. The best way to get them is through other laws like trespassing. Taking pictures in public will (hopefully) never be illegal. It doesn't matter what the subject matter is.

As a photographer, I've researched my rights quite a bit and I don't think that is true. Photographers can be prosecuted for taking pictures of actions that are obviously intended to be private (IE: Breastfeeding). It seems like photographing women below the waist falls under this category in some circumstances. According the The Legal Handbook for Photographers, the outcome of these cases is largely dependant on the area in which they take place. State and local laws vary drastically when it comes to photographer's rights.

That said, Amir lives in London. Therefore US laws are really irrelevent. Does anyone how strict London is in these situations?

BTW: Screw Amir. Anyone who humiliates Scammers is golden in my eyes.
