Well as most of you guys know. I am the one that will be working on the first level of Neo First. Anyways, I have gotten the file and I am now working on it. LinktheMaster made the plans about where the items are in the level and the sturture of the level, and I am designing the puzzles and the whole dungeon. As you can see I am making the level majorly forest themed. However, I will at the same time make it feel like a dungeon.

Here are some pictures: Edit By ShadowTiger/bh4 - Since these images keep going down, I've saved them to my own space to display from. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I will have more information later.

Nice combo of overworld and dungeon.
The dungeon seems somewhat large, and I am waiting for that info.
Keep Shoein it. A new word, in your honor.

Quite. :p Thanks for that chat on IRC, BTW. It worked out great. I look forward to seeing what it turns out to be. ;)

Now I have to remember where I stored the information about the boss. >.<' I was typing it up, but I had to go before I could post it.

Fixed, thanks. Sent 'em to my own webspace. Thanks to geru for that of course.

... Er ... ... Let me quote from something I've been working on. Should shed a little light on things. (Quoted VVV )

Okay. As most of you know, Shoelace is doing Level 1, the Forest Dungeon. It really will be a very foresty dungeon, or at least, according to Shoelace, the bottom floor will be forest. The top floor will be dungeon. The items will be the hookshot and Red Candle, and you -may- already have the boomerang by the time you even enter the dungeon. (I mean, you'll be able to get it if you're diligent.)

The dungeon boss will have influence over a lot of things. Basically, the whole time while you're on the bottom floor of the dungeon, you're being "watched" by the boss, and it'll send various vines to attack you. They're generally red leevers made to look like vine enemies. I think we can spare both leevers for now, though I'm also thinking that they'll look the same. In terms of the NeoFirst Tileset, we can always place the real Leever tiles by the side as a replacement. ;)

Minibosses will be a wave or two of nasty L3 Leever vines.

Anyway, the boss will be a rather intricate combination of all sorts of leevers and barriers you'll have to burn and hookshot across. It actually won't be that difficult, nor do I expect to use that many Freeform combos. It'll be a lengthy battle, (I would LOVE to use a whole map for this, maybe more, as each screen won't be THAT complex.) as it'll go in cycles. The hit-point looping will be very easy, as there will be little to no boss animation frames to differ between all this. The stages of each loop will more than likely consist of you burning a mid-screen barrier with the Candle, then hookshotting across to attack a flower. If you don't make it in time, you'll simply be set back to the first "frame" of that boss's particular hit point loop. Each hit point will be a somewhat different procedure. You'll know which plants to burn to hookshot across because of the gaps before and after them. Simple stuff. Thus, most of the room should be covered in vines. I just need Shoelace's verification as to what sort of room this Boss will take place in. It should be rather spacious either way, .. Cave type Dmap, .. with ONE tile wide walls instead of the usual Dungeon TWO tile wide, so we can move around the most.

I suppose the boss would only need seven or so HP. Ten is POSSIBLE. We can pretty much make this fight as difficult as we want, since the player has more than enough opportunities to acquire HCP's through out the overworld once they've acquired each item within the dungeon. Hell, we could even tell the player to go out and look for them, or make the boss require another item that must be found in the next dungeon. :p Like, ... to go out and complete each dungeon minus the boss first, then when you've gotten each item that can be found, you can go back and systematically defeat each boss. What does everyone think?

I am about 3/5s done with the level. I basically need 5 more rooms on the bottom floor, and about 8 on the top floor. The Top floor was really being held off because I wasn't sure about the boss and what the room sturturce would be like. Now I know, so know I can make it. :P I will talk to you ST in chat for more details.

So far, I have made puzzles with block hole, singlar flags, and such. However, I am trying to keep to the plans of making the level more like Revenge 2. I noticed that I am not really good at doing that, but I have been trying my best.

I say the level will be on by Saturday. I am on a different computer, so I will show pics of the game hopefully tomorrow.

Just so I won't double post, here are some pictures:
