I tried to adjust the sprite with different link sprite sets but none of them work right. I walk left and he jumps and looks down but im still moving left

Spread his little legs and incert the knife right above.... oh wait a minute.
Click on rules and look at BS animation, it should be checked if you're using 3 sprites for walk, and unchecked if you use two
