View Full Version : Do You Look Your Age?

You don't have to say your age if you don't want to, but do you ever get told you look waaay younger or older? I do, and it happens pretty constantly... It's weird and I never know what to say.

I'm 21 and since I was 16 people were always shocked when I told them my age. Everybody seems to think I'm between 13-18. O_O Even my sister's friends who ARE teenagers say that, one of them thought I was 13 last year. I have people ask me what grade I'm in. And just today at PT, one of the Techs who I talk to all the time says she thought I was 14, and another person says "If I hadn't seen her age on paper I wouldn't have believed it." Someone else said I looked like I was in "the general area" but he was supprized that I was 21. My mom says I do look like I'm 12. I guess I should be flattered, and I kind of am but it's weird, and the grade thing is kind of annoying, lol.

What about y'all?

When I was 15, people thought I was in my 20's.

Now I'm almost 22 and people think I'm like 18 :( Actually, I was talking to this guy that used to work for us a few weeks ago, and he asked me what I usually do on the weekends. I told him that I usually go to a show with my friends and have a few drinks. He was suprised because he thought I was only 19.

My son is a year and a half old, and people think he's almost 3. He's so big :p

I think I look younger than I am. I'm 20 at the moment, (That could change any day now. :scared: .. *lol* .. ) though I think I still feel 17. I sort of condensed my entire High School into four years and counted it as 15-16. I have no idea what happened to the other years. o_o'

I actually feel quite similar, but it's because I homeschooled all four years of highschool so I was continuing to feel 16 and 17 but I'm maturing and now I feel 19.

I'm 17 now, and at 6'2, you can tell my age. But just from my face, I look like I'm 14-15, so I try to not shave too often. I've found that it works to make me a little bit older.

I'm 16. I feel like I'm thirty-five or something, though...usually pretty tired, lazy, sluggish...and I forget things ten seconds after hearing them. Ugh...

I think I could get away with being in my 20s, though...though nobody's ever said anything about it. Of course, they did think my mom was my sister once...:scared:

I've had quite a few people guess my age within the last couple of years. They usually think I am somewhere around 18, one said 16. I'm 27 years old right now.

Same here. I'm 22, but I look like your average 16 year old.

I'm 26, but as some of the people on voice chat can attest, I am either a little girl or I got castrated.

Okay, my voice is not THAT bad, but it does get rather high sometimes.

Older. I just started working at a new store adn the people I work with didn't believe me when I told them my age. People usually think I am 21-22ish when in actuality I am 18. I think its mostly because I have some facial hair and I'm fairly tall.

No complaints here.

Oh yeah, I had the "pleasure" of hearing Jiggly speak on Ventrilo. The way he laughs is terrifying.

I've always had people say that I look older than my age. That mostly because I was always a bit more physically mature than my peers. (taller, more facial/body hair) Things are evening out though now so I don't know what people think.

When I went in to get a job recently, the manager thought I was fourteen... So apperently I look roughly five years younger than I am.

nobody has really said I look older/younger than I am. I think my looks fit 19, though my actions certainly don't

I'm 20. When I'm wearing makeup and "grown-up" clothes I look about 15-17. Without them I look like 13 lol.

I probably look fifteen, maybe a couple years older, but I'm bigger than most people I know. I'm like really really tall. I'm not obese either, but I'm definitely not "in-shape" :(
Most people look up to me. I mean like, literally.

On the subject of voice chat, I've spoken with Glenn The Great and some other people on Ventrilo and they say I sound like Jigglysaint. My voice has gotten deeper and manlier since then though  and now all the ladies love me. wait no :shakeno:

I have always been told that I look younger than I am. When I was 20, people could have swore I was 16. When I was 15, I was 4'10, so I looked like I was 9.
Even got turned down when I asked someone out because she said I was too short! Depressing at the time, but funny now.

I'm 20, but I look like a 16-17 year old sob I'd say. :)
And I feel younger than 20 as well. It's not that I'm very childish or anything like that, but I just don't take life/stuff too seriously and I like playing around with children and sometimes I act strangely...

Ever since I was in high school, I was told I look a couple years older than I am. When I was turning 18, some guys I worked with told me that he wished he was my age, saying that I have all sorts of freedom. He thought I was 21ish. Now that I'm 22 and I shave every day, I look my age, but my wife tells me I look weathered. I still have people guess me around 24 or 25.

Most people usually guess my age right, or pretty close anyway. Really depends on what I wear, or how I have my hair fixed. Been guessed as young as 16 before, but I'm 19. Heh, when I was 13, people would mistake me for an adult, though.

Well I know I look older than 18, because yesterday I bought a sword and the guy automatically assumed I was the right age and didn't card me. It's a nice sword too, a replica of one of the swords from Kill Bill.
