Well, I've checked through the official reputation system thread and it really doesn't help me here. Two questions about it:

1. How many points does it take to gain another rep marker? I have 39 points now, so I was just wondering. (Obviously, I have 1 marker, "Pineconn is on a distinguished road.")

2. I recently got a rep, but it's neither green nor red. It's gray. If I check the file name (right-click -> Properties), it's titled "reputation balance." What is this?

Green is positive rep, red is negative rep. If someone gives you gray rep, that means they don't have enough positive rep to influence your personal rep. I'm not sure, but I think you get another green marker every 100 rep points. Not totally sure on that though.

I've wondered about this in the past as well. It somewhat baffles me how some members have 9-10 markers. Makes me wonder if some people mark every other post they make.. :blah:

1. How many points does it take to gain another rep marker? I have 39 points now, so I was just wondering. (Obviously, I have 1 marker, "Pineconn is on a distinguished road.")You get another square every 100 points, as far as I know. It's possible it takes more for later ones.

2. I recently got a rep, but it's neither green nor red. It's gray. If I check the file name (right-click -> Properties), it's titled "reputation balance." What is this?Glenn's right. Whoever gave you that doesn't have a high enough reputation to affect anyone else's.

Okay, gotcha. Thanks, guys. That's stinks that the one rep didn't change my total rep.
