how do yoo get traps to work!?! its really confoosin!?!

Traps can be set by secret flag or enemy flag. When placing enemies click the flags button. Traps ar located there. The secret flags are found by going to Tools->Flags. Specialized traps are found there. Traps can also be combos.

well what do they do? can i make it where a hole appears when i kill all of the enemies

Yes. In the screen data screen (Data -> Screen Data OR press F9), select 'Enemies -> Secret.' Make secret combo 0 a staircase, and place flag 16 in the room as well as enemies.

Traps are objects that hurt you. Some can constantly move, others will move only when you approach its line of sight.
