when I load tiles, for example: more interior tiles, after I rip the colors from them, How do I make it use those colors when I test it. Do I go to Dmap, then select it on the appearence drop down menu that I saved it on. And another thing, when I load the colors to Cset 9 is there any way I can get it to stay on Cset 9
?, because everytime I change screens it goes back to the defalt palette that was on Cset 9.

Loading a cset to cset 9 is for editing tiles that normally aren't in an available cset, like for gleeoks etc.

When you grab tiles into ZQuest, you almost always have to recolor them, the only way you don't is if the tiles/graphics you grabbed just happen to use the same cset that is used in your palettes.

IF you are using 211.b10b there is a quik easy way to recolor;

Once the tile is grabbed onto your tile pages, and it's cset placed in a new level palette cset, like 2, highlight the tile on the tile page and press B
this changes it to 256 colors
Then edit it and swap out its colors with colors from your existing palette.

When doing this you will have the level palette loaded into the palette you are working with, so you should avoid using csets 2, 3, 4, and 9.
To keep it 16 colors use all the colors from another cset, like 7 or 8 for sprites, that way you can screenshot it and grab it back as 16 colors.
If you are going to leave it as 256 colors You can use all the palettes csets, but I would still avoid using 2,3,4,and 9 because they will change with each level palette you use.

Well, I have version 2.10 so what do I do with this version?

Well, there's really no way of avoiding recoloring that I know of in 2.10. Simply recolor. Then again, Freedom is a ZQuest god and can probably prove me wrong. ;)

Where can I get it? and what all is different about it?

It hasn't been officially released; it's still being beta tested. It's actually quite different, but 95% is the same. Arrows, for instance.

Because it's not official, it's buggy. BUT, you can get it in the ZC Development portion of these forums (right below Zelda Classic's bulk of Suggestions, Help, Announcements, Bugs, and Requests.)

More simply put, here (http://www.armageddongames.net/showthread.php?t=90670). ;)

So when ever it's beta something that just means that it is still being tested and has some bugs?

Yeah, so it wouldn't be a good idea to use it for making quests quite yet. I would wait until the official release, but, that's just me.

I see. And on the avg. how long would you say that it takes until each one is released not beta?

2.11 may not come out until the end of this year/beginning of next year/this time next year. In short, don't get your hopes up in that it might come out soon, 'cause it's not.

The thing is 2.10 is buggy too, and 2.11b10b is leaps and bounds beyond 2.10 and has features that make it a LOT easier to use and get to work the way you want it to.

The problems you have been posting about can be corrected much easier in 2.11b10b then they can in 2.10, with 2.11's additions of screen flags and such.
Things that used to take loads of work can now be done with little time and effort.

I've stopped using 2.10 all together and am using the 2.11b10b, and there is no going back for me.

Well, I'm just going to wait until it comes out not beta.
