This is the tempory fix to this issue of the Custom Quest Database not being run at this point. This thread is intended to continue until the database is up and running again.

(Then the mods or admins can feel free to remove this thread.)

RULES:

The rules are simple.

1. Only post topics for your COMPLETED quests. No DEMOS! No UPDATES!
If there is an update to your quest, USE THE EDIT BUTTON.
If you are the author of more than 1 quest keep it in your single post.(DO NOT post a new reply/topic for every quest.)
If need be add an EDIT: Quest file has been updated since ?/?/??.
It is ok to have multiple quest links in your reply/topic

2. Do not post replies to this thread or to the quests in this thread. That is what the Custom Quest Announcement/ Discussion (http://www.armageddongames.net/forumdisplay.php?f=30) thread is for. Post it there.

3. Do not rate the quests. There is no need for rating a quest here. If you wish to comment on a quest or give a rating, refer to Rule #2.

4. Give as much information about your quest.(Same as submitting it to the database)
a.The Name
b.A description
c.A story
d.Credits

5. Provide a download link to your quest. ie. http://www.whateversite.com/yourquest.html[/url]

6. Provide some screenshots. There is no limit to how many you can provide. Just try not to provide too many.

There is one exeption:
ONLY: If you have a submitted quest currently listed in the DB and it has an update you made to it, but it hasn't been added to the DB yet. Post that update here. But any other quests you create are to stay within that update topic/reply. Also if you have a quest on PureZC (http://www.purezc.com) but not in the AGN DB, you may post it here.

Again this thread is only temporary. If you notice the database is operating again, submit your quest there.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM rocksfan13 (http://www.armageddongames.net/member.php?u=13388), elise (http://www.armageddongames.net/member.php?u=8248), or firefly (http://www.armageddongames.net/member.php?u=14900). We will be glad to answer them.

I'd like to go ahead and post my quest here, even thoguh you can get it at PureZC:

Adventure in Mysteria
http://www.geocities.com/pikachu_fan_13/Mysteria.zip

The Description:
This is my first quest using the Newfirst graphics. It's got a FEW bugs, but I'm being told about them, and as they're mentioned to me, I fix them. There are 16 dungeons in all, but Levels 10-15 are in the same area as Level 9. You must complete them to get the keys to Level 9. There's also an Extra Dungeon that has 3 secret items hidden in it: The Fire Boomerang, the Magic Key, and the Golden Arrows. Getting the Magic Key BEFORE you go to Level 9 shortens the quest, but not by much. Levels 10-15 have Splitting Darknuts for bosses, and you get a Red Potion for beating each. Sounds fun, huh? Level 9 has the Silver Arrow and the Power Bracelet #2. Good Luck trying to beat all my Mirror Wizzrobes...

The Story:
One day, Link was visiting the Temple of the Triforce when all of a sudden, a vicious tornado appeared. "This must be the work of Ganon!" Link thought, "But I thought that Ganon was sealed behind the Door of Time..." The tornado then swept up Link and hurled him far away.

After regaining conciousness, Link looked at his surroundings. He was in a new land, a land no one has seen before. Beside him lay a map. When he picked it up, the word "Mysteria" wrote itself on the map. And so begins Link's adventure in this land called "Mysteria"...

Credits:
Well, I never knew you could ask people to beta-test your quests, so... I'm the only one.

Tips:
Get 20 Rupees before you enter Level 1. You'll see why if you push the first Armos you find. Also, once you find the Extra Dungeon, get as much as you can BEFORE you enter Levels 10-15. That way, you need only enter those dungeons to get free Potions.

Description:

The Hero of Dreams, my first quest on Zelda Classic. I have been working on the game since January 2004. This epic quest is filled with so many things to do. I put a lot of side quests in the quest so it can have a feel to most Zelda games. The storyline fits into the major storyline and I do try to connect them all together. I spent a lot of time on the storyline and I hope you like it. This is what you can expect from the quest:

-Travel through huge Forests, islands, caves, deserts, graveyards, mountains, towns, as well as Dreams.
-Come face to face to some of the old Hero's of Hyrule.
-Meet different cultures and races of Hyrule.
-Fight some original custom bosses like Wolfblin and King Dodongo.
-Play some great mini games like bow and arrow target practice and rafting.
-See some original puzzles never seen in ZC.
-Huge Dungeons with different themes.
-and More!

Story:

On a small island just outside of Hyrule lived a boy named Link. As he grew up, he knew he was destined to become the new Hero of Hyrule. The Robins who were neighbors of Link, told him that the bloodline of the Hero's past through him. He knew that on any given day his adventure could begin.

One day Link was drawing a picture of a sword on the mountainside of the island. He looked down at his shield that he always kept with him, and thought how cool it would be to finally use it with a sword of his own. Just then his good friend Patty walked over to him. She looked a little sad, as she told him that she was going to leave the island soon in search for the Shooting Star Legend. In that moment, they both looked at the shoreline and noticed that the water was acting very violent. But they brushed it off. As Link finished the drawing, he signed his name on the bottom of the sword. Patty was still talking about that legend; however, Link couldn't keep his eyes off the coastline, which was getting worse by the second.

Little did they know, the Dark Army had just docked south of the city of Fulton. The Commander of the Army stepped out to dock while discussing the plan to this staff, “Continue searching for the remaining Triforce pieces. We will capture Fulton and await you there!” As the Commander looked at the path to Fulton, he whispered to himself, “And now it begins.”

Kendrus Quest

Send Suggestions and/or comments, etc. to mailto: [email protected]
--------------------------Story--------------------------

Long ago, 10000 years ago, in the land once called Hyrule by men, evil emerged to conquer the Golden Power. The evil entity was known as Ganon, or Gannondorf by the Hylian Tongue. He captured the Princess Zelda and brought terror to the men. It was an era of darkness, and everyone went into hiding. But one young hero became the Hero of Legend, took up a sword and ventured out to defeat Ganon. Eventually, the Hero overcame Ganon and sent him back to the Underworld to burn for eternity.

Present Time:

"My son, I'm afraid I must ask you what no one else can do. Evil nears the realm, and threatens the very planet. I'm afraid that if you do not, no one will. Please, go see the Elder and ask what you must to begin your quest."

Those were the last words Kendrus heard from his father before he vanished. Inner Land was the land of Kendrus, a race of ancient beings. Monsters were nearing entry to Inner Land, and if they were to corrupt Inner Land; the planet's core, then the planet would wither and die. This was Ganon's ambition from the beginning. Although years ago he thought he could do it with the Golden Power, his newfounded knowledge from the Underworld taught him to do it with his army of darkness.

"You wish to begin an adventure? Then see the swordsmith for a sword, and get the key to the Lower Land from the keysmith."

Lower Land lies just outside of Inner Land. And beyond that, even more worlds. At the very outside is what the ancients called the Outside Land, the land of men. The southern reaches could not be breached due to the great river, but the north expanse is now what they call Ancient Hyrule. The closer Kendrus gets to Ancient Hyrule, the stronger the forces of Gannon become, and the more difficult the quest.

The Golden Power awaits thee, Hero of Legend. Wield the Golden Blade and defeat Ganon once and for all.

--------------------------About--------------------------

Kendrus Quest (Kendrus.qst) is a game I made using Zelda Classic 2.10. I've edited most of the tiles (the Classic Tile Set.) I don't like any of the newer tile sets. I've only ever liked the very original NES Zelda, although I have played Windwaker on my GameCube. I never beat it...yet. I understand not a whole lot of people like the Classic Tile Set, but in my opinion, ZC is called Zelda "Classic", so I figure it should only have the Classic Tileset.

But anyway, this quest is pretty good. I'm a computer programmer at Pitt, just two terms away from my BA degree with wishes to continue on. I'm known as one of the "better" programmers at the school and I think so too. But that's enough about me.

Kendrus Quest has a lot of neat "things" about it. Each dungeon is labeled at it's entrance with a number marked by Gannon. See, he didn't want anyone stealing the Triforce, so he sent his minions to each dungeon for safeguarding. That's just one of many.

I don't believe in really hiding the quest items and bombable walls and so forth. Everywhere you have to bomb is marked. You have to have a good eye to spot them though.

There is a Puzzle Room in each dungeon, for a heart piece. Each dungeon has a whole heart, two heart pieces, a special item and the triforce shard.

I don't like a game to be entirely non-linear in the fashion that you could do Level 8 before Level 1, but it isn't entirely linear though either. For instance, if you look around, you could have the Red Sword and Ring for dungeon 6. Level 1 must be done first. Level 2 and 3 in any order, but you need them both to continue. Same way with Level 4 and 5. Level 6, 7, 8 can be done in any order, but you may need certain items for certain enemies.

You should have no problem getting past level 5. The next three are a lot harder to find and that's a good thing. The game shouldn't be too easy. The difficulty enemy wise is progressive. Depending on your skill, Level 8 can be REALLY hard, but I can do it - it's not THAT hard.

--------------------------Additional Info--------------------------

Use ZC 2.10 officially. Newer version might work, but I don't condone it.

Link's
TECHNICOLOR
World

The hilarious quest featured on PureZC takes DemoEX's LoZ color enhancing method and applies something a bit more bright and colorful.

The story is pretty basic, but you'll see some pretty interesting and funny stuff as it progresses. I might still have a map handy somewhere...

music featured comes from all over... Life force, The Goonies II, The Guardian Legend... Those are the main games, I'd say.
