My TV in my room is being a pain in the neck. Our local channel FOX doesn't have the best connection in the world and it buzzes really bad on my TV and not anyone else's. I know it's my TV cause we just tried connecting another TV in it's place and it didn't buzz. Also it chops off SOMETHING in video games, not even changing the screen thing in the game options can show everything.

What I have:
19'' Philips CTR
Able to hook in Gamecube in the back and use A/V cables for everything else in the fromt
A sleep feature which I use so I want to keep it

I would like a 19'' or 20'' with all these features that doesn't buzz or chop stuff off. :) All those Flatscreen TVs are not even an option...I payed $150 for this one a few years ago.

Toshiba (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6333853&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03004&id=1076452906421) 19" for $109.

I was about to suggest a Toshiba myself. The TV I have in my room is a 13" TV/VCR combo by Toshiba. It has a great picture and terrific color, and I have been nothing but pleased with it. My family used to have a larger sized Toshiba in our den, but it died last summer - we had it for about 20 years. (which is a LONG time for a TV I think)

Thanks, I'll keep Toshiba in mind. :) Anyone have any experiance with Magnavox? This one seems good too...http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=5323571&type=product&productCategoryId=cat03004&id=1051806299266

My family have always had extremely good luck with Panasonic TVs, As such, i always recommend them.

I've never used a Magnavox, but I believe they are a decent brand. I'd recommend staying away from non-name brands like "ESA" and "Insigna". They are true cheapo disposable TVs ussually. Though I do like my ESA 20" TV, I don't expect it to last very long, and it will be replaced by a Toshiba Flat Tube soon. You might wanna get a Flat Tube so nothing is cut off the screen. 20" Flat tube screens are 200$ or less. Unlike an LCD aka Flat Panel TV, which tend to be rip offs.

I think I want a Sony Wega for the next TV I get. :)

I recently got a Panasonic 32" Widescreen CRT. It's brilliant. To futureproof your next TV, definately consider a widescreen.

The Magnavox 19" I bought for my room twelve years ago still works perfectly, and evidently has an excellent picture. I'm currently using it for TV/Cable, as it only has the old antenna coax connector, no A/V inputs of any kind(which no doubt contributed to its low price back in 1994).

Go to www.consumerreports.com

And also I find other websites that have consumer reviews.

But you probably already thought about that

No I didn't, thanks Granite. Oh no, I didn't know Philips did Magnavox, I'm gonna steer clear of Philips from now on, I didn't like their MP3 player and I love this TV but can't stand what it's doing...:/

Yay, I got a 20'' True Flat screen Sanyo with features like Smart Sound and Picture Modes including Video Games, and Stereo sound for $124 at Walmart and it had the best picture on the regular TV shelf. :)
