has the source code for zelda classic been released cause it would be an awesome game with addons and such to port to the psp and have it on the go.

ZC is a closed source project. If really want to know why it is closed source when it is free software, ask DN (Darknation).

AGN used to have an open source Zelda project called Open Zelda. Anyone remember what happened to that?

Oh yeah. It moved to GU and died a horrible death.

And just to let you know, unless the PSP can run a normal OS and ANY applications that it can, then a port of ZC to it wouldn't simply be to change some source code. It'd have to be completely re-written for the PSP's evironment. Which is exactly the reason it hasn't shown up on the DS either.

And developers do not want to waste thier time porting something to the PSP. We're lucky they're still working on ZC at all. Remember that. It'll do ya good.

Even Multi-Mario in GU has been extinct too! I like that word extinct!

Open Zelda (or rather what's left of it) can be found here (http://openzelda.sourceforge.net./). While it is (more or less) dead, its successor [Open Legends (http://openlegends.sourceforge.net/)] is now in Alpha phase although still a bit buggy, apparently (as of early March from what I can tell) as the ones working on it encourage those wishing to play in it to use Open Zelda 6.2.4a on their Download page on wiki. Considering they are also working on 2 or 3 other projects, it will likely be quite some time before we see v1.0 of Open Legends (a year - or more likely two - I think).

It looks interesting, but I haven't downloaded it yet.

What happened to Open Zelda is the same thing that happened to my project (Metroid Classic).

Nintendo didn't like it and they shut us down. :-)
