That show was so gay. I never was a fan of course, but the first episodes with Rita Repulsa were just too funny. I swear even pokemon had a more varried plot than that show.

That reminds me, I know Jason had the Power Sword(lol, why wasn't he the Blue Ranger?), and I know the sterotyped black ranger had the axe, blue had the bow, but I forgot what pink and yellow had. Wasn't there a power dagger or power staff or power vibrator or somthing?

It was a big ass knife like thing that had a flute on it he played when he called his dragon or whatever that was.

actually, Jason got the chest shield because they decided to phase out the green ranger, and since he was too pussy to fight in the end, Red got the shield upon occasion.

wiggystuff, if you wanna download MMPR, see about finding the japanese versions. we all know the only times the cast was in the suits was when they had the helmets off. other than that, it was JPN footage with american voices with crappy acting inserted somewhere in between.

I thought the Power Rangers were hilariously stupid at first...and then I got sucked in. I think it was the whole evil Green Ranger saga that did it. The Green Ranger was such a bad ass. I stopped watching after the Green Ranger vs White Ranger battles later in the series.

True and you could always understand them with no problem. If you had a helmet like that on shouldn't your voice be muffled?

We were little kids so alot of things got our attention and that did too, none of us thought about things like this.

Don't forget that the Dragon Zord would tear through the harbor every time he was summoned, and usually ate the same smoke stack at least twice a week.

Say, does anyone remember the two different shields the Green Ranger had? For the Japanese footage it was a pretty nice looking piece of golden foam, but the American footage could only afford a floppy velvet sheet with a few stitches in it for the grooves. I never put two and two together until I realized the true nature of the difference.

And as for the original topic: I knew something was up when the Red Ranger started wearing that earring later in the show, before he was eventually replaced by that new guy who looked even more gay.
The question is: Why did they bring the original actor back not once, but twice?
