It lets you see 'invisible enemies' (enemy flag). :)

Then what about the lvl 2 amulet?

That does not do anything ... yet. The idea, I believe, is that it will show 'super-hidden' enemies in a future version of ZC.

Correct. Level 2 of invisibility will be COMPLETELY invisible, not simply "optical camoflauged" (ala MGS ;)) enemies. I believe the level 1 amulet will allow you to see invisible images of the level 2 invis enemies, though. I may be wrong on this though.

Yeah, I believe the original plan was to have 4 levels of invisibility:
Level 1: Camouflaged without any amulet, fully seen with any amulet.
Level 2: Totally invisible with no amulet, camouflaged with amulet 1, totally visible with amulet 2.
Level 3: Totally invisible with no amulet or amulet 1, camouflaged with amulet 2.
Level 4: You can't see JACK. :p

They just never got around to upgrading the invis system past the current single screen flag. :shrug:
