Ive seen some pretty crazy mario kart 64 races that were similar to this. Its kinda dissapointing tho that its all explioting glichs, but i will admit it still takes alot of skill to do it.

whoa!!! the site's gone!!!.

Soo bad, there were videos from the home run contest in which he made like 11000 with Ganondorf, he made it soo far that the sandbag goes... right... through the floor.

So its an awesome video, right?

firefly

Yeah, they were soo cool.

Anyway, HERE (http://www.holystar.ch.vu) are some videos from namco games ("Tales of" games), however I'm just interested in the Tales of symphonia' videos from the Gamecube and the PS2, as well there are maybe some videos from the Xbox.

Here's a video of Mario 64 in 16 minutes and 30 seconds. (http://www.youtube.com/w/super-mario-64-in-16-30-mins?v=YIg7zW9TgUU&search=Mario%2064)

Although the player does have to glitch through two doors and the endless stairway, it's still pretty impressive.

The Speed Demos Archive has some crazy stuff on it.

I highly recommend watching QDQ (Quake done quick). Seeing Metroid Fusion beaten in an hour without getting hit is amazing, and there's also a 100% speed run for Super Metroid that is close to an hour long.

Of course, a lot of TSA's Zelda speed runs are up there, but I haven't bothered to watch them. I would like to watch the Majora's Mask 2nd cycle challenge though, cause it's something I'd like to eventually do myself.

Click HERE (http://www.hyrule.net/?desskin=icehero&desban=&event=snow&p=&content=glitches&base=language/en/multimedia&lan=en) to see videos about many glitches in Ocarina Of Time and Majora's mask, they're great!!!

I've seen this before. Pretty sick shit. I even tried copying it with a friend of mine taking shifts so we don't get too sick of it. The best we could do was like 30 some minutes. We'd always get stuck on the stair glitch. =\

Heh, this thread should now be called, "Video Game Movies"! All of these movies are freaking sweet guys, thanks.

That Super Mario 64 run is about a year old, I think. All of the runs on SDA are amazing, my favorites are probably the Zelda and Metroid runs, but I reccomend having a look at runs for whatever of the games you own (at least the multiple segment ones). It can really help squeeze some life out of games you've beaten many times before.

Hmm, well I have done the FinalFantasy6 5hour glitch, so I guess I will go get some more videos.

A much more complete list of Speed Demos is here (http://speeddemosarchive.com/). I beleive all of the current official records are kept there. Some of the Zelda demos are also done by a former member of AGN, The Silent Assasin.

You can also find tool-assisted demos here (http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/). These make use of cheating utilities, such as slow motion, but technically all of the things done in TAS demos are within the limits of the game itself, and dont use anything like Game Genie.

EDIT: Here is a 16 minute run (http://bisqwit.iki.fi/nesvideos/movies.cgi?systemid=8) of Mario 64.

That's cheating! I like how he got the stars really quickly & blasted through the Bowser level but the fact that he got through the 2nd bowser door without the required number of stars because of the glitch or whatever was sheer BS.

If you ever saw the 11 minute SMB3 video, that's sheer skill (& perhaps a lil luck) but def. not cheating! Its not like he walked through walls or anything.

I was always surprised that this run was accepted. SDA's rules state that "any glitch that allows you to leave the normal bounds of the game world or to magically teleport between distant locations will be forbidden", and the one used in Mario 64 certainly qualifies as both of those.

Well, as long as you beat it, then I say it works.

I tried to make the same he did with Ganondorf and I made 6459 ft. or something like that, is really hard to do that bat drop combos and all other stuf.

VI3T_DR@GON
01-17-2006, 07:54 PM
6459? Uh thats more than what he got. He got 3555.3 or something like that. Unless you are talking about meters.

firefly
01-17-2006, 08:04 PM
hehe, I'm talking about feet, it's fun to see the sandbag go right into oblivion when he hits more than 4556 ft. in the old version or 11345 ft. in the new version.

VI3T_DR@GON
01-17-2006, 08:06 PM
Hahaha, my computer didnt load that one so I couldnt see it. How fast did it move? Like blazing fast, or slowly?

firefly
01-17-2006, 08:11 PM
The poor sandbag moves as fast as hell!!!, he sends it further than the normal game boundaries, so it goes right through the ground.

VI3T_DR@GON
01-17-2006, 08:12 PM
Lol, thats sweet, through the ground, heh.(So many posts back and forth, Im gonna stop for a while, and take a break)

It is so amazing but it's tool assisted which means edited

the 11 minute SMB3 video was tool assisted as no one can get maximum lives so quicly nor can they get that many points without needing laser surgery to get there eyes fixed after spending about 15 solid years practising over and over and over.
