This is the very first time I drew Kirby from hand, so I'd like to know how the quest looks so far. The zelda012 pic shows some of the items you'll have at area 7 of the game. I hope my quest is looking good so far. Please place any comments you have on the looks, especially any suggestions on how I can make things (especially Kirby and the enemies!) look better. I'd like my first Kirby quest to look good!

Fatten kirby up and shade it a bit. That's how you can make him better. That or don't make your own tiles and rip some from kirby games.

What do you mean, 'fatten him up"? Do you mean make him a bit bigger? And what do you mean by shade him? (Sorry, but I don't really know what you mean by that. I don't know if you mean make his colors darker or add darker colors to give him an even more rounded look.)

.bmp.jpg?
Try to use a different format for images, like .PNG, they are smaller in size and look better.

Oh, sorry. I use imagecave.com for MY file hosting, and it makes any picture I upload to it jpeg. Sorry.

Yes I mean make him bigger but only his body. And by shading i mean like add shadow on him and stuff, come on you must know what shading means. Ok I will give you a really bad example because I can't be bothered to find real pictures. :shakeno: See the blue it looks good :scared: now look at the blue on that it does not. That is what shading does. Of course I'm not expecting you to make it look incredibly good because you can't have a huge amount of colours on zelda classic but you get the idea hopefully.

Only problem is this: I have to get rid of colors I may need to make room for darker colors for Kirby in each Cset, and his colors are Pink (no Ring), Blue (Blue Ring), Red (Red Ring), and Green (Gold Ring). Only thing is, when I test the quest when testing the Gold Ring, he turns out to be Black instead of Green...

Oh, and I also don't know how to "rip" tiles from quests. Sorry, but I haven't been using ZC/ZQuest for long, and this is the very first "Level Editor" program I've ever used that lets you make your own tiles.

Would advise you to read some tutorials or you will be missing out on a hell of a lot of easy to produce features like layering and such.

Actually, I learn fast on my own. I already know about layering, and I use it in all of my quests. Including this one. I'm mainly going to use it in this quest for the whole "Go behind the scenery" effect. I also know about combo cycling, animation, and all that stuff. Gee, how old do you think I am?

No idea but I'm 16.

Edit: Actually now I think you are 14 because your profile says so. But seriously you dont have to be young to get help from a tutorial. I was just suggesting. You might be able to find a tutorial on pixel art which would help with shading.

Really? Hey, if you ever find one, can you let me know? I don't really have the time to look for one myself, since I still have to work on EACH of my quests (and play with the emulator I got recently).

I doubt it would be that hard, just search for pixel art tutorial on google.

Oh, okay. Maybe I'll check that out some other time.
