Blue and Red Ring Question

Does ZQuest change the "Link" sprite's CSet when the player gets the ring, or does it change the player's sprite?

It changes the extra sprite palette cset.

Blue Ring is ESP1 Cset 6
Red is ESP 1 Cset 7
Gold is ESP 1 Cset 8

Icons are ESP 1 CSet 9-12 From no ring to Gold ring respectively.
