View Full Version : Learn to pay attention

First-year students at Texas A&M's Vet School were receiving their first anatomy class, with a real dead cow. They all gathered around the surgery table with the body covered with a white sheet.
The professor started the class by telling them, "In vet medicine, it is necessary to have two important qualities as a doctor:
The first is that you not be disgusted by anything involving the animal body. For an example, the Professor pulled back the sheet, stuck his finger in the butt of the dead cow, withdrew it and stuck it in his mouth.
"Go ahead and do the same thing," he told his students. The students freaked out, hesitated for several minutes. But eventually took turns sticking a finger in the anal opening of the dead cow and sticking it in their mouth.
When everyone finished, the Professor looked at them and told them, "The second most important quality is observation. I stuck in my middle finger and stuck my index finger in my mouth. Now learn to pay attention."
That's what you get for not paying attention. I wonder what the students did to clean the shit out of their mouths, unless...gah

That's not so much funny as educational. (I mean, it's pretty damn funny, but we can get a lesson out of it.) So many times in life, we follow the example of others before we think for ourselves. We're constantly tempted to take the easy route by doing what others do, without giving any regard to the action we're about to undertake, because someone else is testing the waters for us.
Kinda makes you think.

"Uh, Doc? Can you get the Listerine, please?"
 Good lesson. I hope SOMEONE got it right out of that group.

I apologize beldaran the Mod. I am glad you pointed it out for me...
of course I think it has alot to do with the thread, because it explains how stupid it is. This is an old joke, the way I heard it though was with a real doctor and a person instead of a vet and a cow.

That reminds me. You know what'd be really cool? ... If once someone in the world hears a joke, it would be awesome if everyone else in the world instantly hears the same joke, and understands it just like it was meant to be. That way, we wouldn't have to have any of those "I heard it already. Lame. Fail" kinds of posts that really detract from the joy of the thread. I really hate it when people spoil the fun for others for such a ridiculous reason. If you don't have anything nice to say, just stick it in GB! :p
... ... Yeah, I'll be right over to check the thread about me in four minutes.

Someone starts the joke then tells a friend. That friend tells a few people. After that the details from the original joke start getting sketchy so someone fills in the blanks with something else. It keeps going around with different versions.
Who cares if it's not the original, sometimes the improvised version is better. If you don't like the other version of it then shutup and leave.

I wasn't insulting the joke... its a good one, i was just saying I heard it before.. If you are insinuating I would make a thread about you, why would I? There is nothing wrong with you other then your a bit of a fluff. But that doesn't matter, who cares?
Now this has been De-Railed enough... No more speak

It's ok, I forgive you. And you're welcome. I don't mind helping people out when they get confused.

Oh man, people are LAUGHING at a FUCKING JOKE. HOW COULD AGN TURN INTO THIS SHITHOLE?
Man, we really are emo socialists. How dare we laugh at something that is actually funny.
(I laughed, btw. Where do I sign up to be an emo socialist?)

Put "emo socialist" in your signature. If laughing at a joke makes you one then I'll join up too.
Oh man, people are LAUGHING at a FUCKING JOKE
I don't quite see what else anyone expected. I prefer it this way than if AGN was primarily one big flame battle.
