I'm really interested in ZC and would like to get started ASAP. The problem is that I downloaded v.2.10 for windows, and when I click on the icon to run the program I get this error message.

ZQUEST-W caused an invalid page fault in
module ZQUEST-W.EXE at 0197:004067a9.

Can you guys help...I've read through the FAQ's and Noob threads and haven't seen this answered? Thanks!

Re-download Zc. Uninstall the current copy from your pc. Then re-install the new copy you just downloaded.

Something got corrupted.

have you tried a different mirror when downloading?
also, why not try downloading the support archives from the downloads page and unzip them the the ZC directories; it might solve a few problems....

Thanks Cyborg.....I download the support archives for DOS version and I got it to work. The windows version is still not working. Don't know what you mean by trying a different mirror. I have a mirror in my bathroom, but don't know what that has to do with it...lol!

mirror = alternate download site
but... I just noticed that there's only 1 download location (when did that happen??); so nevermind about that

oK....Well I'll just have to work with the DOS version I guess....Is there any way to put a quest onto a emulator. I have FCEUltra on my Xbox and want to play my own quest on there along with some other quests from this site?

nope, quests aren't emulation-related files; I'm not sure (a little help on this one plz), but if you had Linux on your X-Box, it might be possible to run a copy of the Linux beta on there. (again, I'm not sure, so don't quote me on that)

Shouldn't this thread be moved to ZC Discussion?
yeah.
