Alternate music?

I've seen that each DMap for 2.10test has an alternate music. However, I never hear this music. How does this function work?

The alternate music isn't in the same folder as the quest so it won't work. Even if it was, the alt music only works when there is no midi for that dmap.

but it does work? so long as the alternate music is in the same folder correct? if so then this is awesome news for me thanks Sir_Johnamus.

Alt. music, are you talking about Tracker music, right?.
well, the music must be at the same folder, if not, the primary music (MIDI) will play instead of the Alt. Music (Mp3...).

so alt. music takes priority over midi music or does it not? as two people here conflict with eachother.

If you've played Link to Tortuga you will notice that it is playing an MP3, if you delete that MP3 or move it from the folder, the MP3 will no longer play and a MIDI will play, telling that the MP3 has a bigger priority.
