I have had the same problem. I have had to use the Post Reply button every time. The Quick Posts appears as a window in a window and is causing an error.

I had this problem when using my other comp, but I can't do any posts at all, so I have to use another.

I haven't had any problems with Quick Reply. Heck, I'm quick replying this post. It might be incompatibility among browsers (I'm on FireFox 1.5)

Moved to General Discussion, you should get more help there.

Yes. The glitch is with IE. If you use something other than IE, it will work. Firefox is one of them.

internet explorer 6 sp2 has the problem with it and yes this problem seems to have been around for ages.

the message i encounter while doing a quick post is as follows.

"Invalid Thread specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator (http://armageddongames.net/sendmessage.php)."

This computer is horrible, it logs me out after 5 minutes of inactivity, don't let me post normal replies, it doesn't remember me...

Sorry this double post, but it seems that my browser doesn't support editing posts.
it doesn't show signatures, always changes to the classic skin, anything involved with normal posts (advanced replies) can't be used in my computer...
And my browser supposedly allows all the cookies from this site.

clear your cache and cookies, and try again. i'm using IE 6.0.29 to post this (as opposed to usually using Firefox), and there arent any problems on my end. so...

i'll edit my post if i get any 'logouts' you claim to get.

edit:
nope, no logout.

as far as sigs go, there is an option in your profile to enable them.

if you use spybot SnD disable anything to do with protecting your ie homepage and your ie settings.

for some reason those options have a side effect not intended.

Maybe it also disables Javascript. I'm nearly sure that the Edit Button is governed by Javascript, (Or possibly AJAX. ... I seriously have no idea. :p ) .. so try to enable Javascript, probably by some Options-->Something menu.
