Need some help

to start off with i have the legend of zelda link to the past tileset but every time link gose into a cave everyting is dark brown even the the tiles i put in how do i fix this problem

my other problem is that when i try to place people on my overworld or in a cave or dungons the outside of there tiles are outlined in black it kinda makes it look really bad when ur playing it how do i fix this without link being able to run underneath of them like in layering

Are they tiles? If so, you can use layering, but put them on layer 1 or 2. Those layers are at Link's level, and he can't walk under tiles on those layers.
